Clarification of Horticultural Section Schedule - Tuesday 2nd August 2011
Please find below clarification of class 71 in the Horticultural Section.
Horticultural Section
Class 71 - "Fascinating Foliage" - clarification regarding the use of flowers. The main theme of the exhibit is Foliage not flowers but they can be used to enhance the exhibit only. It will be up to the judges discretion if the exhibit is enhanced by the use of any flowers used.

New Schedules Available - Tuesday 7th June 2011
The schedules for each section are slowly starting to reach the website. The latest that have been uploaded are the Vintage Cars, Handicrafts and the Cavies sections.

Supporting Charities in 2011 - Wednesday 30th March 2011
We at the Halifax Agricultural Society like to do our bit towards helping charity and this year we have chosen a local and a national charity to support in particular. Both charities will be given a free stall at this years show (13th August 2011) to help to raise funds for their particular cause.
The local charity chosen was Overgate Hospice and the national charity chosen was The British Heart Foundation.
Online Pre-Day Tickets - Wednesday 23rd February 2011
As a step forward with the quick modernisation of the world that we live in, this year we are introducing an online ticket shop where you will be able to purchase your Pre-Day tickets with the click of a few buttons.
This will not only guarantee you entry on the day, but we also hope to shorten queues at the gates and raise awareness of the show online aswell!

65th Annual Halifax Agricultural Show - Tuesday 18th January 2011
As this years show rapidly approaches, the committee are working hard to make sure that this years show is bigger and better than before.
Show schedules are due to be published around April and will be available here on the website. The next committee meeting will be held on the 25th January at the Upper Royal Hotel, Pye Nest. Stay tuned for more information coming soon
